LG's new phone is more expensive than iPhone X
NEW DELHI: South Korean tech giant LG has unveiled the company’s latest premium smartphone in the LG Signature series. Successor to the last year launched LG Signature Edition, the company has launched LG Signature Edition (2018). The smartphone will come in White and Black colour options and will go on pre-order starting today (July 30). The company has priced the LG Signature Edition (2018) for 1,999,800 won which translates to Rs 1,22,820. At this price point, the LG Signature Edition (2018) smartphone is more expensive as compared to the iPhone X which is selling at Rs 1,02,425. The company has also included a free Bang & Olufsen (B & O) Beoplay H9i headphones in the box for its customers.


The LG Signature Edition 2018 is made from premium material like zirconium ceramic back which prevents the device from any kind of scratches. The company is also allowing the customers to get their names engraved on the back panel of the device. The smartphone sports a 6-inch QHD+ OLED display with 1440x2880 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.


The LG Signature Edition 2018 runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with Adreno 630 GPU. Running Android 8.0 Oreo operating system the device offers 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 256GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 2TB by adding a microSD card. The handset sports a dual rear camera setup.


The LG Signature Edition 2018 comes with a dual rear camera setup with two 16MP modules. The primary sensor offers f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree wide-angle lens, while the secondary sensor comes with f/1.9 aperture, LED flash and 07-degree super-wide-angle lens. The front of the device houses an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture.


Measuring 51.7 x 75.4 x 7.3mm, the smartphone comes with DTS: X 3D Surround Sound and 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC. The device has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Wireless charging support. On the connectivity front, the handset offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type C.
