The Islamic State (IS) kidnapped 20 Druze women and 16 children when it attacked their villages last week in Syria’s southern province of Sweida, the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights said on Monday.
More than 250 people were killed on Wednesday when IS carried out a string of attacks in Sweida and villages to the north and east.
Four of the women managed to escape and another two died, said Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman.
