Feasibility study to introduce heli-tourism in Tamil Nadu submitted: Tourism Minister KJ Alphons

Alphons said that the Pawan Hans Limited, an aviation entity under the Centre, had carried out a feasibility study in association with the Tamil Nadu government.

NEW DELHI: Soon, Pawan Hans services could be available for tourists in Tamil Nadu as a feasibility report on heli-tourism has been submitted to the state government, Minister of Tourism K J Alphons informed the Lok Sabha today.

Alphons said that the Pawan Hans Limited, an aviation entity under the Centre, had carried out a feasibility study in association with the Tamil Nadu government.

"The study was done for the introduction of helicopter services to provide heli- tourism in Tamil Nadu state including Madurai and the preliminary report in this regard has been submitted to the state government," the minister said.

Such services are already available in Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Damand and Diu, Lakhswadeep, Andaman and Nicobar and Guwahati.
