Five more certificates issued by the Mahatma Gandhi University to students will be made available online from August 1. The certificates to be delivered through the digital platform include medium of instruction, course certificate, re-admission, college transfer, and condonation of attendance.
“Already, we are offering migration, eligibility, and equivalency certificates online. The initiative is part of the project announced in the varsity budget that the entire process related to student services, which include providing various certificates, will be made online,” said K. Sherafudeen, Syndicate member and convener of its finance committee.
Students seeking the medium of instruction certificate need to log on to and register on www.certificates.mgu.ac.in. The application form details have to be filled online before making digital payment. The varsity will immediately provide the certificate.
The portal also allows the applicant to take printout of the online certificate.
Course certificate
For getting the course certificate online, students need to log in by entering the username and password. They need to upload copies of hall ticket of the exam for which they had last appeared, consolidated mark list, or degree certificate, before remitting the fee online. The portal has the facility to check the status of the application. The applicants will get a text message once the university authorities upload the certificate online.
Students seeking re-admission certificate have to upload the details along with copies of either marklist or hall ticket before making the fee payment online. They will also get a message alert once the varsity completes its formalities and uploads the re-admission certificate.
College transfer
For getting college transfer online, applicants need to upload hall ticket and non-malpractice certificate after remitting the fee. This certificate will be made available to the principals concerned online. They both will approve it and forward it to the varsity, which will give the final nod. Finally, the order will reach the principals online. Students could check the status of their application and get it printed.
Those applying for condonation of attendance certificate need to upload the medical certificate along with the fee and application. The principal, who will get the application online, needs to give the consent for sending it to the varsity. After proper checks, the varsity will issue it online.
