Himachal Pradesh got some relief from heavy rains as monsoon remained less active today.
"The prevailing fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activities over the state are likely to reduce significantly from today onwards, as the low pressure area over northwest Uttar Pradesh and its adjoining states have become less marked. No moisture incursion is likely from Bay of Bengal and Arabian sea over the region during next two-three days," said Manmohan Singh, the director at the local Met centre.
No rain occurred in most parts of the state from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm today, he added.
Earlier, heavy rains had wreaked havoc in several parts of the state and threw normal life out of gear as 310 roads were closed due to landslides and flash floods.
Two Kinner Kailash pilgrims were swept away in flash floods and 276 others stranded in tribal Kinnaur district on Friday evening. It took several hours for the local police and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) to rescue all the stranded 276 pilgrims by today morning, an official said.
"Kinner Kailash yatra has been stopped till further orders due to heavy rains and flash floods," officiating Deputy Commissioner Avninder Kumar said.
