50th AIIMS satellite camp held in B’swar

The 50th AIIMS satellite camp was successfully completed in the RASMI premises here on Saturday.

As a matter of coincidence it falls one day after 3rd Death Anniversary of former President and Missile Man Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. On July 27, a ceremony was organised by ITR where in every one spoke about their experience and learning from Dr Kalam. A souvenir was released along with a coffee table book with the compilation of photographs of Dr Kalam depicting his association with ITR.

To commemorate the occasion Kalam memorial lecture was organised and two back to back products for missile application was released by ITR and was dedicated to Dr Kalam.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr MC Sahu from AIIMS Bhubaneswar expressed his pleasure in conducting the camp and he appreciated the team spirit of ITR towards smooth conduct of the camp. He also emphasised that very soon the phase I of satellite centre will commence.

However, looking at the satisfaction level of the patients regarding the way the camp is managed every Saturday, he reassured that AIIMS support for this camp in RASMI will continue.

Dr Kishore KumarBehera, Dr Saurav Narayan Nanda and Dr Bhagbat Nayak also addressed on this occasion.

Sashikanta Rout while conducting the programme highlighted the contribution of each and everyone towards this great social cause. Niladri Roy and CR Ojha explained the achievements of the 50 camps.

The Director ITR expressed his satisfaction over treatment of above 8,000 patients in 50 camps averaging 160 patients per camp.
