Nimapara martyr’s birth soil sent to BBSR

The Nimapara Saheed Committee on Saturday sent the soil of martyr Uchhab Mallick’s birth soil to the Swdhinata Sangrami Ground at Bhubaneswar ahead of installation of a Saheed Stambha (Martyrs’ Pillar) on the Kranti Diwas on August 9.

According to information, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik would lay foundation stone for the Martyrs’ Pillar for which birth soils from all 30 districts of the State are being brought.

Accordingly, Nimapada MLA Samir ranjan Dash handed a pot of birth soil to martyr Mallick to Nimapara Saheed Committee member Benudhar Senapati for taking the same to Bhubaneswar. The soil was collected from Keutatota Melan ground of Chanarpada gram panchayat.

The soil was sent in a rally to the Saheed Pillar site in Bhubaneswar following a meeting. Among others, NAC Chairman Sanatan Pradhan, Jibanananda Mohapatra and Pradipta Khatoi were present.
