HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad High Court on Friday directed the officials of school education in Telangana to announce by August 6 the merit list revised as per the court order pertaining to DSC-1998 examination.

The court also directed the special chief secretary to education to appear on the next date of hearing i.e. Aug 6.

Justice P Naveen Rao was passing this order in the contempt petition filed by some aspiring candidates alleging large-scale irregularities in the DSC-1998 examination and that the court order of the year 2009 was deliberately not being implemented.

In 2009, the court directed the authorities to revise the merit list and to appoint the petitioner candidates based on merit.
