MUMBAI: MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Friday questioned the use of loudspeakers for azaan and advised the Muslims to offer 'namaz' at home so that nobody is disturbed.

"I always ask Muslims, why they need loudspeakers for azaan? Who do they want to show? If they want to offer namaz do it at home, not on roads," he added. Raj also added that separate reservations for any community will not be needed if 80% jobs in the state and seats in educational institutes are set aside for local youths.

Raj, who was in Pune to address his partymen on Guru Purnima, said he supports reservation only on economic grounds. He said youths should understand the reservation issue instead of getting carried away by political leaders who are spreading hatred among castes to protect their vote base.

Maharashtra has always been progressive and it should not see another like Kakasaheb Shinde die during the Maratha agitation, he said.
