CHENNAI: The health condition of DMK president M
Karunanidhi, who was admitted to Kauvery Hospital here in the early hours of Saturday in a critical condition, has become better, said his daughter and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi.

Kanimozhi told reporters waiting outside the hospital that Karunanidhi's blood pressure that was fluctuating on Friday night was stable on Saturday morning.

The former Tamil Nadu chief minister was admitted to hospital around 1.30am. A medical bulletin issued by the hospital around 2.30am said the blood pressure of the DMK president had stabilised with medical management. It said Karunanidhi continued to be treated by a panel of expert doctors.
On Saturday morning, governor Banwarilal Purohit visited the hospital and spoke to the Karunanidhi’s son and DMK working president M K Stalin.
A huge crowd of party cadre assembled outside the hospital. They shouted slogans praising the five-time chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
