Growing unease

A creeping fear has entered the minds of many Indian Muslims following anti-socials posing as gau rakshaks, who have been organising lynch mobs across the country to ‘round up’ suspected cattle smugglers. From avoiding ordering kebabs in certain localities to not buying meat from butchers and being careful of appearance and apparel, many Indian citizens who practise the Islamic faith are hiding their religious identity in order to fit in. It’s not One India if they are doing so only for survival.
