Man stabbed three times dies after argument north of Brisbane

A man has died after being stabbed three times in the abdomen following an argument north of Brisbane overnight, according to police.

Emergency services were called to a unit complex on Brushwood Court in Mango Hill at about 8.40pm on Friday after reports of a stabbing.

They found a man with three stab wounds to the left side of his torso. They tried to revive him but the 41-year-old Deception Bay man died at the scene.

A 36-year-old Mango Hill man who was known to the victim was arrested at the scene.

It will be alleged he and the victim got into an argument before the stabbing, which took place outside the accused's home.

The local man has been charged with murder and was due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
