ITR pays tribute to Kalam 

Baleswar: The Integrated Test Range (ITR) fraternity here paid tribute to former President Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his 3rd death anniversary on Friday. ITR Director Dr BK Das, Associate Director PC Routray, Group Director CR Ojha along with other station heads, employees, members of the Cultural and Environmental Club and the ITR Ladies’ Wing remembered the “Missile Man”. On this occasion, the 5th edition of the in-house half-yearly magazine ‘Sagar’ and a coffee table book titled ‘Dr Kalam-A Journey with ITR’ were released. A souvenir ‘Insights of a Great Visionary’ was also unveiled.

B’pur Subhadra Sadan holds cleanliness drive 

Brahmapur: The Subhadra Mahatab Seva Sadan held a cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat Mission at the Day Care Centre for the Aged here recently. Journalist Rabi Rath spoke on the objective of the mission.  The elderly people of the centre took out a rally to create awareness on cleanliness among people by holding placards and shouting slogans. Among others, Dr Simanchal Mishra, Bhagwan Patra, Chitaranjan Sahu, Binod Dash and PC Panda were present. Sabitri Debata and centre in-charge Susant Kar coordinated the programme.   

N Nagar Saraswati school holds welcome fest

Brahmapur: Saraswati Vidya Mandir Neelakantha Nagar Plus Two second year students welcomed first year students here on Thursday. Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Brahmapur zone Deputy Secretary Kulamani Ojha gracing as the chief guest said the school is the pride of Ganjam district and of the State as well. Among others, College Managing Committee secretary Sudarsan Padhi, joint secretary Mamata Panigrahi, advisor Dharmaraj Sahu, Narayan Panda, Harekrushna Padhi, Rabindra Nath Jena, Saraswati Vidya Mandir Headmaster Umadhav Mohanty and Chairman S Mohan Rao were present. As many as 512 science students and 128 commerce students from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh were welcomed.
