Man killed for misbehaviour in G’pati; 2 held

The R Udayagiri police on Friday arrested two persons on the charge of killing a co-villager at Haradabada village under Shialilati gram panchayat 12 days back.

The arrested were identified as Kamal Pradhan and Budu Pradhan. Astonishingly, postmortem was conducted on the torso of Prashant Pradhan as his head was not found two days after his killing.

According to reports, Prashant had misbehaved with wife of Budu Pradhan a few days back. On July 15, Kamal had invited Prashant for a drink. They went to a nearby canal where they along with Budu drank liquor. After some time, a quarrel erupted between Budu and Prashant. Budu and Kamal attacked Prashant and beheaded him with a chopper.

On the complaint of Prashant’s family members, the R Udayagiri police and fire personnel searched for Prashant. They could locate Prashant’s torso only.
