Xiaomi’s Pocophone F1 with Snapdragon 845 expected to be launched simultaneously in India and other markets: Report

It is known for long now that the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is working on its new series of smartphone.called Pocophone. Earlier this month, first phone in the Pocophone series received certification from US’s FCC website.

Now, according to a report by MySmartPrice, first phone in the series will be called Pocophone F1. The online website disclosed that the upcoming smartphone will be launched in India alongside its global launch. Though there is no official launch date from the company yet, the smartphone is expected to launch soon.

Pocophone F1: Expected Specs

The upcoming Pocophone F1 is expected to come with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160×1080pixel. The display is likely to be a full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by an octa core Snapdragon 845 SoC supported by an Adreno 630 GPU.

The Pocophone is expected to run on company’s MIUI 9 out-of-the-box operating system based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The device is likely to pack 6GB RAM paired with 64GB and 128GB internal storage.

As for the camera, the smartphone will feature a vertically stacked dual rear camera on the back panel. Pocophone F1 is likely to have a front snapper as well. There are no details on the resolutions yet. The device will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery. Dual-band Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth, and Band 40 LTE support are the expected connectivity options that will come with Pocophone F1.

As far as the pricing is concerned, it is being reported that the 64GB ROM variant will likely be priced at Euros 420, which roughly translates to Rs 33,000. The high-end variant of 128GB is expected to be priced at Euros 460 (approximately Rs 36,000).
