HYDERABAD: Wondering at non-implementation of the roster relating to category-wise reservations to SC, ST and BCs in the selection process initiated by the Telangana Urdu academy for the Urdu officers Grade-II posts, the Hyderabad High Court on Friday directed the petitioner to implead the already selected candidates as respondents to the present case.

Justice P Naveen Rao was passing this order in a petition filed by Mohd Muttabi Ali Khan and another challenging the notification issued on March 28 this year for recruitment of Urdu officers Grade I and Grade II (60 posts).

The petitioners’ counsel told the court that the roster procedure was not implemented as per the Service Rules-22.

It was not proper to entrust the job of filling the said posts to Telangana Urdu Academy instead of TSPSC. The selection process was taking place against several guidelines and hence the notifications issued for Grade I and II posts would not be valid, he argued.

After hearing the case, the judge directed the petitioner to implead such candidates and posted the matter to July 31 for further hearing.
