ALWAR/JAIPUR: Post-mortem report indicates that
Rakbar Khan all injuries were inflicted 12 hours prior to post-mortem, hinting at a clear involvement of
cow vigilantes in killing Khan.
The timings in the report puts a clear onus on the cow vigilantes who, led by Naval Kishore Sharma, have been alleging that Khan died due to police beating.

The post-mortem was conducted by a three-member medical board at 12.45 pm on Saturday, whereas the phone call to the Ramgarh police station about the incident was made at 12.41 am earlier that night.
“The PMR findings are crucial because it indicates two things, first the assault had already begun well before we were informed, second, the exact time period of assault must have been somewhere around midnight of Friday-Saturday,” a police official told TOI on the condition of anonymity.
The
Rajasthan home minister on Tuesday had admitted that Khan’s was "a custodial death" while ordering a judicial probe into the incident.
The victim was taken to the hospital at 4 am; by when he was dead and was straight shifted to the mortuary in
Alwar. If the time between assault on Khan and post-mortem is calculated, it is evident that trashing of such a nature which included 13 injuries, multiple fractures and ruptured ribs, could not have happened even if Khan was brought to the station as late as 1.30 am. “There are massive internal injuries, his ribs are completely damaged and 750 ml of blood was in his lung,” an official said. However, the police will face action over delay in rushing Khan to the hospital. The judicial probe has already begun into the matter. Rajgarh Chief Judicial Mahistrate (JMC) Amar Singh arrived at the police station on Thursday to start his investigation into Khan’s death in the police custody. The CJM recorded the statements of police men present at the police station on that night including suspended ASI Mohan Singh. The CJM will also record the statements of Naval Kishore Sharma, and the doctor who had declared Khan dead.
