Gujarat Refinery joins hands with city cops to upgrade police station

VADODARA: The Gujarat Refinery (GR) management has teamed up with the city police for upgrading police station located near the refinery crossroads.

Foundation stone for the project was laid recently by the city police officials, who also appreciated GR’s proactive step for managing security and maintaining industrial harmony including dealing with any adverse situations like industrial unrest.

The police also appreciated the CSR activities carried out by GR for the local community in the surrounding villages. Sudhir Kumar, executive director too appreciated the support received from the city police for maintaining industrial harmony. Kumar said that IOCL will make a model police station with all amenities and facilities at the refinery crossroads to enable the cops in carrying out their work effectively.

The upgraded police station will be built over an area of 1,000 square feet and will include an office chamber, staff area, record room, meeting room, waiting hall, washroom and other facilities that will air-conditioned and equipped with all facilities and amenities. The upgradation is expected to be completed within October this year.
