Indore: A 21-year-old youth was killed by three persons including wife’s brothers following an argument in Bhanwarkuan on Thursday. The accused attacked the youth as they were unhappy after he married their sister. No arrests were made till late night.
Bhanwarkuan police station in-charge Sanjay Shukla said that the incident took place in Bhavna Nagar at 9.30 am. Deceased identified as Tejkaran Bhalse, a resident of Bhavna Nagar, was at his residence when his wife Rinki’s brothers Rahul, Arun and their paternal uncle Shivram arrived for taking Rinki to their home. They had an argument over the issue and situation turned violent to the extent that accused thrashed Tejkaran.
The family members of Tejkaran intervened but one of the accused stabbed him using knife and fled leaving Tejkaran critically injured. The family members and neighbours took him to hospital where he died during treatment at 3 pm. So far, police have identified three persons and booked them on charges of murder.
Sources claimed that more than three persons reached Tejkaran’s house but police denied it. Shukla said Tejkaran received four stab injuries on his back and ribs. Due to excessive bleeding, he could not be saved.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused also live in Bhavna Nagar. Tejkaran and Rinki married against the wish of family members in April. The family members of girl were unhappy with the marriage and they would often fight with Tejkaran but their relatives would calm them down. Since then, Rinki stayed with Tejkaran but her family wanted to take her back home. Tejkaran worked at auto parts shop in Chhoti Gwaltoli.
According to police, Tejkaran and accused had an argument a week ago and the matter was reported in Tejaji Nagar police station wherein police had booked relatives from both the sides.
