Nagpur: Continuing with their initiative of spreading awareness regarding energy conservation through unique events on purnima (full moon) night, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and NGO Green Vigil Foundation on Friday organized a programme in area around Vidhan Bhavan to mark Guru Purnima.
The NMC officials and Green Vigil activists switched off street lights at the square. The activists interacted with people at the signal and informed them about benefits of switching off lights on full moon night. MLC Anil Sole, executive engineer (electrical) Sanjay Jaiswal and others were also present.

The drive was launched during the Sole’s tenure as mayor in 2013.
