‘Rafi Ke Deewane- Woh Jab Yaad Aaye’ organised in City

Remembering the versatile singer of Bollywood Mohammad Rafi, a musical concert ‘Rafi Ke Deewane- Woh Jab Yaad Aaye’ was organised in city. Here on Thursday, the event was organised at State Museum auditorium.

The event was organized that made the audience go back in the times of old memories. The concert presented a tribute to the legendry singer of Bollywood and an evergreen personality of the industry Mohammad Rafi. The event was organised by NGO Ahsas and Music Media Kala Samiti, Bhopal. The singers presented around 20 most famous songs of Mohammad Rafi. He presented both solo songs as well as duet songs before the visitors.

The performance enthralled the audiences by playing the old songs. The singers began the event with the title of the event ‘Woh Jab Yaad Aaye, Bohat Yaad Aaye’. They presented song ‘Aaj Ki Raat Mere’ leaving the visitors mesmerised. Other songs like ‘Deewana hua badal’, ‘Mera Mehboob Aaya Hai’, ‘Badi Mastani hai Meri Mehbooba’ and ‘Oh Haseena Zulfo Wali’ made the audiences enjoy the ambiance of golden time of Bollywood.

Mohammad Rafi is known amongst the finest singers of Bollywood. He gave his melodious voice to actors like Sashi Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Raj Babbar, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bacchan and many more and made their songs an evergreen hit tracks. Mohammad Rafi has given his voice in more than 4000 compositions and all are remembered as his best of best performances.

To pay tribute to such great artist, Ustad Alaudin Khan Academy is presenting the programme. To remember the playback singer of Bollywood, a short documentary will be presented.

The documentary will showcase Mohammad Rafi’s whole life journey and his love and passion for music. The documentary is a compilation of few interviews and old photographs that will showcase the life span of Rafi.
