2 TPC rebels arrested

The Urimari Police of Hazaribagh district has arrested two hardcore Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) members after a search operation in the jungle area of police station on Wednesday late evening. Both the arrested members were also accused in different cases in Hazaribagh, Chatra and Ramgarh district.

The Hazaribagh Superintendent of Police Mayur K Patel said in a Press meet that the contractor of Urej area had given the written petition to Urimari police station that the members of banned organisation TPC have demanded the levy of Rs one crore.

Patel further said that a team was formed under the leadership of SDPO of Barkagaon KK Mahto along with officer in-charge of different police stations. The team was conducting the raid continuously in the jungle areas.

On Wednesday the team received the secret information that some of the members have seen in the jungle areas. In the evening the police started the search operation and arrested two members, other persons escaped from the police.

The arrested rebels are Rajendra Orano of Kuju and Diwakar Ganjhu of Patratu of Ramgarh district. Police seized the mobile sets from them.
