CHENNAI:
PMK leader S
Ramadoss on Friday said he was saddened to hear news about a “slight decline” in the health condition of his beloved friend and
DMK president M
Karunanidhi due to age-related ailments.
“With treatment being extended to him at home, I hope he recovers fast. I express my wish that he will live 100 years and resume public work,” Ramadoss said in a statement.
The PMK leader hailed the unparalleled achievements of the former
Tamil Nadu chief minister in politics and said news about his ill-health had come at a time when the veteran began his 50th year as president of the party on Friday.
Ramadoss said he had visited the ailing leader at Kauvery Hospital and Gopalapuram residence in the recent past. “He identified me clearly at his residence. We thought he would recover fast and resume public work. News about his poor health and fever makes us sad,” the PMK leader said.
