Building fire in Sydney's CBD sends black smoke across skyline
A fire in a commercial building in Sydney's CBD left black smoke billowing over the city skyline on Friday afternoon.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokeswoman said firefighters entered the ground floor of the two-storey commercial building at 12.53pm to attack the blaze in a "rubbish room" at the rear.
She said three crews were sent to Dixon Street in Haymarket just before 1pm, although firefighters described the front as being on Harbour Street.
