In 2016 and 2017 Samsung was careful talking about the batteries in its smartphones. But now it seems ok boasting it as one of the key features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 phablet. The South Korean tech firm has just released the first ever video teaser of the handset, boasting about its battery.
The 30-second YouTube video shows how users run for their chargers at the last moment when the battery is at 1% or 2%. It also shows some of the sacrifices users have to make in order to make the smartphone run for long. This includes everything from dimming the screen brightness to close all the background apps, turn off the Wi-Fi, GPS and other functions.
In the end the video shows a couple of lines staying “Battery can’t keep up?” followed by “A lot can change in a day” and the August 9 date when the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to launch.
We assume the battery is just one of the features touted for the upcoming handset. Since the Galaxy Note 8 came with 3300mAh battery, which is a norm in flagship smartphones these days, the Galaxy Note 9 could feature at least 3500mAh battery if not 4000mAh or may be more. One of the recent smartphones that came with 4000mAh battery is the Vivo Nex.
In Galaxy Note 9, one can also expect fast wired and wireless charging as it is available in nearly all the flagship handsets launched by the company in recent years.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s images and specifications have been leaked multiple times in the past few weeks. The device could be sporting a dual rear camera setup with a fingerprint sensor at the back along with a new-designed S PEN. It may still keep the 3.5mm headphone jack. Some of the key specifications of the phablet include Exynos 9810 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 512GB storage variant, 6GB/8GB RAM, 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen.
