Lynching accused sent to jail till August 9

Alwar: A local court in Alwar on Friday sent all three accused involved in lynching of Rakbar Khan to judicial custody till August 9.
The trio - Dharmendra Yadav, Paramjeet Singh and Naresh were produced before the local court on Friday by the Ramgarh police after completion of their police remand. The trio was later shifted to jail.

Ramgarh police station’s FIR which was registered by the suspended ASI Mohan Singh on July 21, had alleged that Yadav and Singh were arrested from the spot. The police said that the fourth accused is yet to be arrested.

There are multiple investigations begin conducted into the matter, including a judicial probe into the custodial death of Khan at the police station. CJM Ramgarh on Friday recorded the statements of Naval Kishore Sharma, who is a witness to the case and has alleged that the entire incident was a handiwork of the local police.

Rakbar Khan, a resident of Mewat in Haryana was transporting cows on foot with his friend Aslam Khan on the intervening nights of Friday and Saturday and passing through Lalwandi village he was waylaid and beaten up by a mob. “We have also brought several evidences which indicate clear involvement of the accused,” the official said, adding that the post-mortem report (PMR) also indicate that Khan’s injuries were caused 12 hours ago.

The doctors located injuries on the scapular and lumbar regions of Khan's body, apart from bruises at several spots. The board also found "damage" in Khan's left lung, including the presence of 750 ml of blood. Multiple fractures and damage to Khan's ribs were also reported during medical examination.
