As we know that Pakistan general elections just happened and the counting is happening as of now and most probably Imran Khan will be the next Prime Minister of the Pakistan. Imran Khan was one of the big names of cricket, he was the man who played a major role in Pakistan winning the Cricket World Cup. However, Imran Khan won’t be the first sportsman to lead his country, over the world there have been 3 sportsmen who have become great leaders of the country.
Current Liberia’s President George Weah-

In 2016 he gave Presidency a second shot and was Elected president in December 2017.
Former British Prime Minister Alec Douglas
He was the only British prime minister to have played first-class cricket. As Lord Dunglass, he was a useful member of the Eton XI. In a match of 1922 he scored 66, and then took 4 for 37 with his out-swings. He played ten first-class matches for six different teams.
His cricket was gradually overtaken by politics, and he entered politics in 1931. After his father’s death he took his title and became the 14th Earl of Home, he rose to be foreign secretary and then on 18 October 1963 he became the prime minister of England.
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
At on December 10, 1973 Karachi Gymkhana Ground, Nawaz Sharif made his only First-Class appearance, Sharif went out to open batting with Zakir Butt, But was ducked out. Butt on the other hand scored 57 runs.
Sharif did not get a second chance to bat. He never got to play another match, and could thus never score a First-Class run.
Nawaz Sharif, went on to become Prime Minister of Pakistan, from 1990 to 1993 and from 1997 to 1999 and 2013 to 2017. In between, he was the Minister of Defence from 1997 to 1999 and in 2013.
