Dengue preparedness meet held at Joda

A meeting was held in the Joda Municipality office to discuss about taking some preventive measures so that there will be no dengue cases this year.

It is to be noted that three years back, dengue had created an alarming situation in the Joda-Barbil region by affecting more than thousands of people and also had taken a heavy toll of lives.

However, more than half of the councillors who have been elected by the citizens to look after the wellbeing of the municipality were absent.

Similarly, mines owners and business houses like PMP, Indrani Patnaik ,Mala Roy, DR Patnaik, KMC ,KC Pradhan and  many others are earning cores of rupees from this mining land of Joda but are remaining absent in the meeting to  discuss about their participation for the welfare of Joda.

However, Thriveni and Essel Mining had sent the message that they will agree to the decision taken in the meeting.

EO Suryamani Patajoshi thanked all for no outbreak of dengue till now and hoped that the same will continue in future for which he sought the cooperation of all.

Others who were present in the meeting were seven councillors, including Chairperson of civic body, Subash Chandra Mohanty of Sirajuddin,Tammany Kar of Tata Steel and Umakanta Mahato of Rungta.
