Cape Town - The Sharks have confirmed on their social media the significant departures of star players, fullback Garth April and prop Ross Geldenhuys.

On their official Twitter account, the Durbanites thanked Geldenhuys and April for their contributions towards the franchise and wished them well on their future endeavours.
When quizzed by fans were the duo were headed, the Sharks replied that Geldenhuys will be "leaving to New Zealand".
Geldenhuys has had previously ties in New Zealand, where he played ITM Cup rugby for Tasman and signed for the Highlanders for their 2015 Super Rugby season before returning to South Africa.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old April would be "heading over to Japan Top League team, NTT Shining Arcs".
The Sharks were beaten 40-10 by the Crusaders in the Super Rugby quarter-finals in Christchurch last week.

Robert du Preez's men now gear up for the upcoming Currie Cup season, where they take on the Blue Bulls on August 25 in Durban.
