Man, 3 sons booked for student's murder

SIRSA: A man and his three sons were booked for the murder of a 19-year-old youth of Bajekan village in Sirsa district on Wednesday.

The deceased identified as Rajesh Kumar was pursuing a course from the industrial training institute (ITI) in Khairka village.

Sirsa Sadar station house officer (SHO) Jagdish Chandra said acting on the complaint of Rajesh's elder brother Vinod Kumar, a case of murder had been registered against Sandeep and his sons Hari alias Harry, Kundan alias Raj and Raju, all residents of Bajekan.

In his complaint, Vinod said he hailed from Kotli village of Sirsa and was living in Bajekan with his sister and younger brother Rajesh.

He said one of the accused Kundan, who runs a photography shop in the village, had fallout with Rajesh over some photographs.

He said Rajesh went to get photographs from Kundan at around 10 pm on Wednesday and at around 3 am on Thursday he received a call from village panch Kilu informing him that Rajesh was lying in an unconscious condition at Harry's house.

Vinod said he, accompanied by his relatives and cousin Mohan, went to Harry's house to get Rajesh.

He said they took Rajesh to the Sirsa civil hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. He alleged that Kundan and his family members had assaulted his brother that led to his death.

Police said preliminary investigations point to old enmity as the reason behind the killing of the youth. SHO Chandra said real reason behind the murder would be known after the accused get arrested.

He said they were trying to get the help of the Bajekan sarpanch to arrest the accused.
