Ola cabbie missing since July 22 found dead near lake

Ola cab driver, missing since July22, was  found lying dead at a lake near Haiderpur water plant on Thursday morning . The driver has been identified as Saleemuddin.

There are speculations that the driver was killed and thrown in the lake. The vehicle he was driving was found on Monday morning by Bawana police station, Rohini District. Offensive weapons, the deceased's hat and his hair were found in the vehicle. There were traces of blood outside the vehicle.

Police have sent the body for postmortem and are waiting for the reports to proceed with further investigation.

The owner of the cab Hamid stated in his complaint to Bawana police station that on Monday 8am he was informed by Bawana police station that his car was found in an accident. The car was in a bad condition. He also said that the deceased was working with him for the past 2 months.

 “Actions should be taken immediately to find my driver, figure out what happened with him and severe punishment should be given to the culprits responsible for this” Hamid stated

The police officials said “The cause of death will be revealed once we get the autopsy report. If it is found to be murder case then concerned sections will be registered.”
