Bharat Bhavan to host Haryana Mahotsav

The multi art centre of the city Bharat Bhavan is all set with fizzy shades of Haryana to host the Haryana Mahotsav 2018.

The Bhopalites would experience the art and culture of Haryana. Beginning from Friday, the weeklong Haryana Mahotsav is organized by Bharat Bhavan. The Haryana Mahotsav is all about Haryanvi folk dance, music, film screenings, and poets meet, plays and a well organized craft mela. The Mahotsav will continue till August 2.

The fest will kick off on Friday with the exhibition of the creative works and art pieces by the artists of Haryana at Modern Art Gallery and Rangdarshini Gallery. On the same day ‘Vagh Prabha’ will be presented by Mukesh Verma. This will be followed with Ragini Gayan. It will be performed by Rajesh Dalal. To mark the closure of first day sitar recital by Harvinder Sharma will be held.

To mark the second day of Haryana Mahotsav on Saturday, the folk dances and music of Haryana will be performed by Gajendra Phogat and team. On the same day, Naresh Malhotra will perform classical vocal. Kathak dance will be performed by Amarjeet Kaur to close the second day.

On Sunday, poetry recital by the poets of Haryana will be held. Marking the fourth day on Monday, play ‘Sandhay Chaya’ will be staged. It is directed by Banindrajeet Singh and will be performed by the artists of Imphects Arts troupe, Chandigarh.

On Tuesday, play Dusra Admi Dusri Aurat will be staged. The play is directed by Ravi Mohan and will be performed by the artists of Raas Kala Manch, Safeedon. On Wednesday, play Jaani Chor will be staged in Swang style. It is directed by Satish Gorgy Kashyap and Sandhya Sharma. It will be performed by the artists of A Folk Art Academy, Hisar.

Marking the grand closure of the event Haryanvi folk music will be performed by Salim Haryanvi and Sufi gayaan by Susheel Kumar Sharma will be performed on Wednesday.
