Facebook has suspended Alex Jones, the founder of InfoWars, from it’s platform for 30 days concerning content that they say violated its community guidelines. ??????A representative for Facebook spoke to Mashable about the ban, telling them, quote, "Our Community Standards make it clear that we prohibit content that encourages physical harm [bullying], or attacks someone based on their religious affiliation or gender identity [hate speech]. "??????Facebook has also removed four videos from pages run by Jones and Infowars after the content was reported, ??with the platform saying in the past that pulling videos from their site counts as a strike against the Facebook page and that receiving a certain amount of strikes can result in the page being pulled from the social media platform. ??????The suspension means Jones personally will not be able to post content to pages he is a “page admin” for, ??but the Facebook Channel that bears his name along with the InfoWars channel will continue to remain active. ????The block comes just days after YouTube gave the InfoWars’s channel another strike, ??after Jones broadcasted a rant against Special Counsel Robert Mueller, accusing him without evidence of paedophilia and fantasising about shooting him. ??
