Infosys launches Mom’s Net for new and expectant moms

Thiruvananthapuram: Mom’s Net, a facility for new and expectant mothers, was launched by Infosys at its development centre (DC) here on Thursday. Complying with the Maternity Benefit Act, Mom’s Net is an extension of the existing dormitory with advanced amenities for new and expectant mothers.
The new facility is part of a national network of centres set up with the objective to encourage expectant and new mothers, by offering them a conducive environment and infrastructure to return to work.

They will also have access to the Infosys app ‘Sapphire’ that helps them stay connected, relevant and inspired, and ‘Lex’, the company’s online training platform that provides anytime, anywhere, any device access to Infosys’ courses.

To provide a comfortable environment, Mom’s Net here has beds and sofa sets for mothers to rest during the day. There are desktops arranged at the facility to offer them easy access to mails and flexibility to work at their comfort. This facility is a welcome addition to the existing provision of lactation rooms. The facility has also been furbished with calligraphy notes and posters to accentuate the overall ambience.

Mom’s Net was inaugurated by Infosys Global Services, Data and Analytics head and executive vice-president Satish H C. Sunil Jose, DC head at Infosys; Anju Nampoothiri Krishnan, senior unit quality head and mentor of diversity and inclusion team (DIT), and Sulthana Kabeer, senior project manager and head of DIT also attended the function.
