Vivo V9 Youth gets a price cut in India
Vivo's mid-range smartphone -- V9 Youth -- has received a price cut in the country.

Launched at Rs 18,990, the handset will now cost Rs 16,990, making it a price cut of Rs 2,000. This is according to a tweet from Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom.


The handset sells both online and offline and is currently not reflecting the new price at any of the online portals in is available at – it is available on Vivo E-store, Flipkart.com, Amazon.in and Paytmmall.com. All these portals are currently selling the device at Rs 17,990.

Vivo V9 Youth was launched earlier in the year in April. There is only one storage variant that offers 4GB RAM and and 64GB internal storage.

The handset offers a 6.3-inch FullView Display 2.0 with 19:9 aspect ratio and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clubbed with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. The smartphone even supports microSD card up to 256GB.

Backed by a 3,260mAh battery, the handset runs FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Vivo Nex price and specifications

Recently, the company launched its flagship smartphone in the country called the Vivo Nex in the country.


Vivo Nex is priced at Rs 44,990 and boasts of a motorised pop-up camera.


It sports a virtually bezel-less 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display without a notch. The screen packs FHD+ (1080x2316 pixels) resolution and boasts of a 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. It is also one of the rare smartphones to feature 19.3:9 aspect ratio with an on-screen display.


The smartphone is backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, complemented by an 8GB RAM and Adreno 630 GPU. As for the camera, the smartphone packs a retractable front-facing camera setup that has an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. At the back, there is a 12MP+5MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and f/2.4 aperture. The camera UI also has Google Lens integrated, making it easier for you to search for products online. You get a bunch of scene modes including time lapse, portrait, AR Stickers and more. The smartphone also has 128GB inbuilt storage.
