AHMEDABAD: At least 13 students from
Gujarat - including seven from Ahmedabad - have figured in Top 25 at the national level in the
company secretaries (CS) foundation programme, the results of which were declared by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) on Wednesday.

Dhanya Vasoya has secured the top position in the state and third in country. In Ahmedabad, of the seven who figures in top 25 there were six girls in the list. The topper in Ahmedabad was Pratigya Shroff was ranked eight in the country and second in the state.
The State topper Dhanya said "It's the result of my last four years hard work and I am very much happy, I want to complete the CS and want to be ranker and will prefer corporate job rather than starting my own practice." Dhanya's father is having brass factory in GIDC, her younger brother is pursuing 11th standard while her mother is housewife.
Ahmedabad girl Pratigya says "I decided to go in for CS after my tuition teachers guided me. My father is an engineer." PRatigya says that she had been on social media till the last moment but had put in hard work for six hours daily despite being active on Social media."
Anindita Saha, who was ranked 10th in the country and second in Ahmedabad and third in Gujarat says "I joined the CS courses after my elder sister asked me. I would like to pursue my career in human resources and law and CS is the best course for me to meet my aspiration." She even watched to films to get relaxed.
Masira Teli has Vadodara topper and All India 10 says "I had not expected to get an All India Ranking. But since last one year, I was studying hard with regular revision of the course syllabus. Rest, I had left to the almighty," said Masira, whose father Sajid Teli is a businessman while mother Shabana Teli, a homemaker.
Meanwhile the other six from Ahmedabad who figures in the top 25 in the country included Rahul Shahdadpuri (AIR 10), Preksha Panchal (AIR 19), Kinjal Shah (AIR 22) Mittal Panchal (AIR 24), Vidhi Vekariya (AIR 24).
From Vadodara apart from Teli, Het Palsanawala has bagged AIR 14 and Sudhanshu Jain has bagged AIR 20. In Rajkot S Kakwani stood 16th in all India while Rajkumar
Karelia stood 21st in the country.
The computer-based examination for CS foundation programme was held in June this year. According to officials about 252 students appeared from the Ahmedabad chapter and 150 students cleared. The passout percentage was 59.52%. However, this was 63.38% in December 2017. Vadodara centre's result is 59.3 % as a total of 67 students out of around 113 who had appeared have cleared their CS foundation programme.
