Thiruvananthapuram: A 49-year-old man died after falling into a
well on Wednesday night in Kollam. Lalu of Eroor near Anchal, was running away from a scuffle with one Sumesh and accidently fell into the well, said police.
The
tussle broke out at the residence of a woman at Agasthyakode near Anchal. Both the men were allegedly in relationship with her. On the fateful night, Sumesh, who was accompanied by a relative, saw Lalu and the woman together. In the ensuing melee, Lalu tried to flee the place and fell into the well,
Anchal police arrested Sumesh on charges of causing hurt, house trespass and verbal abuse. He was granted bail from station by Thursday evening. tnn
