Bhopal: Jyotiraditya Scindia serves breach of privilege notice to CM, Guna collector


 

Bhopal: The incident of not inviting MP Jyotiraditya Scindia in a programme of Union minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurating roads and foundation-laying ceremony in Guna, is turning into a controversy.

Scindia has served breach of privilege notice to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Guna collector Vijay Dutta in Lok Sabha. Scindia has requested Lok Sabha speaker Sumita Mahajan to move breach of privilege notice against the CM and Guna collector.


According to Scindia, he was kept away from the foundation laying ceremony of national highways on July 23 despite being a member of parliament of the constituency. His name was not in the invitation letter. The plaque carrying his name was replaced by a different one. Scindia also wrote that when MLA Mahendra Singh Sisodia, raised the matter, he was pushed out from the stage.

According to Scindia, it was violation of protocol and rules and the incident had damaged his prestige. Scindia has demanded action from privilege committee into the matter besides, CM and Guna collector tendering apology.
