Youth abducted from dhaba in city

A youth of Unit-VIII in the city, who had been abducted in a vehicle by a group of men on Tuesday night from a dhaba at Patrapada, was found in a critical condition in Pipili on Wednesday.

The youth was identified as Nrusingha Sahu, who works as a sales manager in an automobile showroom in Rasulgarh area;.

The Pipli police found Nrusingha lying in a pool of blood behind Dena Bank at Siula Chhak and rushed him to the Pipili hospital. Later, he was shifted to the Capital Hospital here after his condition deteriorated.

As per reports, Nrusingha along with his friend Papu Swain had gone to a dhaba in Patrapada for dinner on Tuesday night.

At the dhaba, due to some reason Nrusingha picked up a fight with a group of four non-Odia youths.

The group of youths then bundled Nrusingha into their car and drove off. Soon after Papu lodged an FIR at the Tomando police station following which police launched a search operation to trace Nrusingha.

In the morning, the Pipili police found him in an unconscious state. Police are investigating into the incident and are on the lookout for the non-Odia youths.
