The Kala Ashram in Adilabad would organise Guru Purnima celebrations on Friday which would see followers of late Guruji Ravinder Sharma participating from different parts of the country.
The Kala Ashram advisory committee has already taken up a host of activities in the run-up to the celebrations.
One of the most important tasks that was accomplished in the last few days was the preparation of an inventory involving cleaning and cataloguing of artefacts which are on display at the Ashram for long.
These artefacts and pieces of art, and sculptures and paintings were either made by Guruji, who was an artist himself, or collected by him over a period of few decades.
Ashish Gupta, a member of the Kala Ashram advisory committee, said the main programme as part of the celebrations would be plantation of saplings and chintan baithak to chalk out programmes for the remaining part of the year. Among those who would participate in these programmes are Arun Dike, an organic farmer and an activist from Indore; Gopi Krishna, an activist working with pastoralists in Belgam in Karnataka; V. Giriraj, retired IAS officer from Maharashtra; Prashant V. Kumar and Vinay from Art of Living, Bengaluru; Ram Babu of Hyderabad, a millet food expert; Mayank, an animation expert also from Hyderabad; IITian Ashutosh Jani, who is working with tribals at Chota Udaipur in Gujarat inspired by Guruji; and Gupta, who has established Jeevika Ashram at Indrana near Jabalpur, also inspired by the Ashram.
