Man shoots at wife over argument

A 25-year-old woman was allegedly shot at by her husband in south Rohini, police said.

The woman identified as Sonia Sharma hails from Udaipur in Rajasthan and came to Delhi, to see her relatives when her husband shot at her abdomen around 10.30 pm on Wednesday after calling her outside the house.

“This happened after a heated argument erupted between the duo, enraged at which husband took out the pistol and fired. However, the bullet grazed passed her abdomen, police said. 

The couple has been living separately since 2016, they said. The woman has been hospitalised and recuperating, they said. Police has recovered an empty bullet shell from the crime scene.

A case has been registered under relevant section of the laws and futher probe is on.

According to police, the couple got married three years back and also had two and a half year son.
