NOIDA: A bike-borne assailant allegedly robbed an Airtel collection agent of Rs 7 lakh at gunpoint near Sector 90.
Police officers from Surajpur and Phase II stations apparently got into a jurisdiction dispute before senior officers intervened and got an FIR lodged with Phase II police station. However, police said the complainant’s version is doubtful.

Rohit Verma, from Khora colony in Ghaziabad, said he was travelling on his bike after collecting money from customers in sectors 141, 142 and Shahdara village in Surajpur.

“When he reached Sector 137 around 4 pm, two persons on a bike stopped him near Blossom County Society. He has alleged one of them mounted his bike and travelled along with him till Sector 90,” a police officer said.

CO II Swetabh Pandey said the accused then took away the bag. An FIR has been lodged. tnn
