The Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation has started a helicopter service for pilgrims who face problems in performing Govardhan Parikrama here.
The aerial tour will be available for three days between 10 am to 6 pm today, tomorrow and Saturday, subject to weather conditions, said D K Sharma, a district tourist officer.
The eight-minute ride for a round of Govardhan Parvat in Govardhan would be a boon, especially for senior citizens and NRIs, Sharma said, adding that the department had hired a private company for the service.
Five inspectors and 40 police personnel have been deployed for security at the helipad, said Aditya Kumar Shukla, superintendent of police (rural).
