Event to create attachment to environment held

Taking a step for protection and conservation of environment, students of Mass Communication and Social work department, Kushabhau Thakre University of Mass Communication organised plantation programme on Wednesday in university premises. The main aim of the event was to create attachment towards environment.

Vice Chancellor of University Prof Mansingh Parmar planted the first plant of wood apple (Bel) to commence the event. Addressing the event, he said that youth will have to play key role in protecting the environment for their future and it is their responsibility also.

He said it is responsibility of each person to take care of the plants as one tree is like hundreds of son.

Mass Communication and Social work department, Head of Department Dr Shahid Ali said that departmental effort is to provide the base of conserving the environment among the budding journalists along with studies. Registrar Dr Atul Kumar Tiwari proposed vote of thanks.

He said that Mass Communication and Social work department effort for green and clean campus programme is laudable. Guest faculty, Sandeep Sen, Abhishek Goswami, Rukhsar Parveen, Ritu Tarak Lata, Vinod Sawant, Juliet Motwani, Sashank Shukla, Bharati Gajpal, Rashmi Tiwari and departmental employees were present.
