DC releases annual credit plan for banks

LUDHIANA: Deputy commissioner Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal on Wednesday released the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) of Rs55,151 crore (2018-19) for nationalized and private banks in Ludhiana district for agriculture and allied activities, non-farm, and other priority sectors.
While providing information, Aggarwal informed that the ACP was 2.20% more than the previous year. He said that out of the total proposed plan, Rs16,329 crore were kept for agriculture and allied sectors, Rs14,859 crore for MSME sector, Rs9,777 crore for export credit, Rs96 crore for renewable energy, Rs1,391 crore for social infrastructure, Rs1,240 crore for housing, Rs971 crore for education, and Rs875 crore for other priority sectors.

He stated that banks should ensure needy persons are provided loan without any hassle on a priority basis, and a target has been set for each bank. He said all banks would work wholeheartedly and accomplish their targets easily. He assured the district administration would assist them in every possible way. On the occasion, the Potential Linked Credit Plan of Nabard for 2018-19 was also discussed.
