PATNA: A Class IX student’s father was allegedly beaten by her classmate when he resisted his bid to molest his daughter outside a school in city’s
Kankerbagh on Thursday.
The incident took place around 12.30pm when students were leaving the school campus after the dismissal time.
The girl’s father, Mahesh Chaudhary, has lodged a complaint with police. According to Patrakar Nagar police station SHO
Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, the complainant has accused the minor boy of misbehaving with his daughter and thrashing him in full public view. “The FIR says the boy was trying to pull her school bag and touch her physically,” the SHO told this reporter.
The girl’s father has sustained minor injuries on his arms and face, the SHO said and added police would do the needful.
A Patrakar Nagar local, Santosh Kumar, whose daughter studies in Class V in the same school, alleged such incidents of eve-teasing and scuffle between students had become the order of the day outside the school campus. “However, no action has been taken in this connection by the authorities concerned,” he regretted.
