Ex-BSNL staff house burgled, no arrests made, case filed

The house of a retired BSNL employee was targeted by burglars at Sant Ashram Nagar under Baghsewania police station area and decamped with valuables worth Rs  80000; a case was registered on Wednesday.

According to the police, the victim, LN Mishra had gone to visit his son at Bhuj in Gujarat on July 8 where he was informed by his neighbor that door of his house was found open and on the receipt of the information he returned on Wednesday and found valuables were burgled.

A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Baghsewania police and in his complaint he stated that he along with his family he had gone to Bhuj in Gujarat on July 8 and returned on Wednesday where he found gold and silver jewelry, wrist watches were burgled.

A gold chain, three gold rings, three pair silver anklets and three wrist watches.

The total loss in the burglary was around Rs  80000.

The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

The security guards of the society and domestic help would be questioned in the investigation.

Meanwhile valuables worth Rs 1 lakh were burgled from Rahul Nagar under Kamla Nagar police station area on Tuesday.

The victim Neelesh Sahu was asleep when miscreants targeted the house and escaped with three mobile phones, Rs  20000 cash and gold and silver jewelry.

The total loss in the burglary was around Rs  75000. Police have started investigation after registering case.
