The team found a pugmark during their check — which was led by assistant conservator of forest, Shahnawaz Khan — the marks, however, were left by a jungle cat. But, the officials have instructed the college authorities to clear the thickets of thorny bushed around the college and maintain the area to discourage wild animals from straying into the area. 

Wildlife officials said that birds residing in the thickets and waterlogging in the region may have attracted the hungry and thirsty jungle cat. Asking the students and the college management to not worry, forest department officials said that they would keep a constant vigil to prevent animals from straying into the area.
