NEW DELHI: Repeat offender BJP UP lawmaker Surendra Singh's latest homily is that "
Hindus must produce at least five children to keep India strong and keep
Hindutva intact" in the country, reported news agency ANI.
"Hindu population needs to grow, every Hindu spiritual leader wants this...at least five kids, Hindu couples should produce a minimum of five children," said the BJP lawmaker from Bairia.
This is the same man who said earlier this month that even
Lord Rama cannot stop rapes from happening. Two months before that, he called party colleague and PM Narendra Modi Lord Rama.
"Main dawe ke sath kah sakta hun ki Bhagwan Ram bhi aa jayenge to yeh ghatna (rape) par niyantran kar pana sambhav nahi hai. Ye samaj ka swabhavik pradushan hai (I can say that such incidents (rape) could not be controlled even if Lord Ram come (to the earth. Such incidents are the natural pollution of the society)," said Singh when asked about his reaction to the
Unnao rape.
Singh also once called West Bengal chief minister
Mamata Banerjee ‘Surpanakha’, the sister of demon king Ravana.
In January, Singh said India would become a Hindu nation by 2024, and then a month later he said that those who are unwilling to say 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' are Pakistanis.
