Petronet LNG net profit up 34 per cent at Rs 587 crore

Petronet LNG net profit up 34 per cent at Rs 587 crore New Delhi: Petronet LNG Ltd, the country’s largest importer of natural gas, reported a 34 per cent jump in standalone net profit at Rs 587 crore for the first quarter ended June 2018, as compared to the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The company had recorded a net profit of Rs 438 crore for the first quarter of 2017-2018.

The natural gas importer’s revenue from operations for the first quarter of the present financial year increased 42.45 per cent to Rs 927 crore as compared to Rs 651 recorded in the corresponding quarter of the preceding financial year.

Petronet’s share price at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today closed at Rs 231.15, up 4.69 per cent as compared to previous close.
